First Communion
"Holy Communion is the surest and safest way to heaven" as St. Pius X told the church.
In Holy Communion the faithful receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
First Communion preparation normally happens when children are in second grade. Parents play an important role in helping their children complete assignments and understand the material at home.
First Confession & First Communion
Home Study Program
The New St. Joseph First Communion Catechism will supply young Catholics with vital information needed to make their First Holy Communion and First Confession. It explains Catholic Doctrine using pictures and Sacred Scriptures. Parents and students work on the book together at home, activity pages for each lesson and an answer key are provided.
Contact our Director of Religious Education (DRE) Katie Jean for more details about preparation and sacrament dates as well as to register your child for First Communion preparation. Registration for Religious Education happens in August of each year or no later than early September.
