Fr. Tom was born in Szczecin, Poland, his family emigrated to the US when he was 9 years old. He grew up in East Lansing, MI, at St. Thomas Aquinas parish and school, he received a B.S. degree in Geography and English from Central Michigan University, then worked for IBM in Ohio and New York state for 5 years. Father answered the call to priesthood and completed his M. Div. at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lansing June 11, 2010 along with three classmates. Fr. Tom speaks fluent Polish and has been pastor of Old St. Pat's since December, 2016.

After working ten years in an academic setting, Debbie’s desire to work for the Church became a reality when she joined the Parish Team in 2013. Her job as secretary strengthens her charism to serve God by assisting parishioners and visitors to our parish and cemetery! She is a Third Order Secular Discalced Carmelite and strives to live in the presence of God through prayer. Debbie has recently been promoted to Office Manager to reflect the mans tasks and responsibilities at our parish.

Katie is one of six raised by parishioners Pete and Mary O'Neill in the South Lyon area. The example of her parents and St. John Paul the Great inspired her to study theology and work for the Catholic Church. Katie obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with a focus on youth and catechesis, from Madonna University. She spent 15 years working in parishes in the Diocese of Lansing as an Administrator, Youth Minister, and Director of Faith Formation. Katie is a supermom who is raising her own family of nine children!
John Perna
Music Director
John Perna, comes to us with a varied career. Trained as a civil engineer, he worked for twelve years in structural engineering, Then, after a few years in seminary, he put in twelve years at Habitat for Humanity as executive director and engineer. He became a full-time church musician in 2009, serving as music director at St Joan of Arc in St Clair Shores and at St Ronald. John sang with the St Jude Men and Boy Choir in Detroit from the third grade through college. He played his first hymn at Mass the summer after seventh grade. His greatest joy is hearing the congregation singing. He loves helping people praise God in song.

Ron has been a parishioner at Old St. Patrick for 16 years. He enjoys golfing, cooking, music and spending time with his daughter Lynsie. Ron has a strong devotion to Blessed Solanus Casey and ministers at times with a relic cross that Father Solanus owned. He is good friends with Detroit Fire fighters where he excels at the chili cook off!

Anne Cocker is a graduate from Wyoming Catholic College. She is a tutor for St Augustine Homeschool Enrichment Program and excited to lead converts into the Catholic Faith!
